Naylors Emporium – Traditional Sign Writing Yorkshire Dales

An enjoyable 200 mile round trip to Settle in the Yorkshire Dales where I designed and painted this traditional window sign and wooden sandwich board for Naylors Emporium. Great trip, great shop, great customer.

Traditional Window Sign Writing and Wood Sandwich Board

The sandwich board was made from timber and painted and sign written in the workshop before travelling to Settle to complete the window sign writing. A pattern is placed on the front of the window and the sign is hand painted in reverse on the inside of the window, the same as it would have been a hundred years ago.
